My Own Kind of Hat! tour to New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, is a musical revue about the passage of time and living one's dreams.

This show was created as a celebration of Linda's personal journey that led her out of New York (some ump-teen years ago) and into San Francisco - and although time certainly has “flown by,” it was not without some stops and starts along the way.

This show is filled with humor, passion and poignancy!

Through an eclectic mix of songs from jazz standards to folk-rock to bluegrass; by songwriters as diverse as Tom Waits, Iris Dement, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Loesser, to name a few, Linda combines her love of the lyric with her ability to tell the tale with strong emotional connection and humor.

FOLLIES IN CONCERT A SUCCESS
SOTA's Follies in Concert Fundraiser was a huge success, thanks to so many dedicated people. Eight SF Cabaret performers including vocal director Barry Lloyd, Shannon Day, Amy Dondy, Lua Hadar, LINDA KOSUT, Russ Lorenson, John McCullough and Carly Ozard gave generously of their time and talent to sing on stage with SOTA student performers Allen Darby (Vocal ’08), Melissa David (Theatre ‘08), Sergey Khalikulov (Vocal ’07), Michael McDonald (Theatre ‘08), Nicki Rosenberg (Vocal ’07), Lauren Shaw (Vocal ’08), Angela Travins (Vocal ’07), and Roseanne Wetzel (Vocal ’06).

It was a great experience and our students held their own on stage with these seasoned professionals.

Possibly the biggest thrill was hearing (and seeing) the SOTA orchestra under the direction of Jerry Pannone. Behind the scenes, the entire production was supervised by Dan Kryston, and the house and stage were managed by Keith Carames. The standing ovation on closing night was well deserved by all. Follies in Concert was a truly successful collaborative night of theatre at its best.
